Energy Trackers and the KeWee are a set of resources being developed by a small team in the Keweenaw area. We all care deeply about conserving our planets resources, and know that data is everything!

Shane Oberloier

Shane is an instructor and Ph.D candidate at Michigan Tech studying electrical engineering. His broad research interests range from energy monitoring and specialized 3D Printing to in-home electronics fabrication. As an educator Shane focuses on wrapping content in a fun and easy to digest format so participants are always engaged.

Sam Lockwood

Dr. Lockwood is a world-recognized expert in reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated disease and was most recently Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and Co-Founder of Cardax Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Hawaii-based drug discovery and development company. Cardax Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in a reverse merger, became Cardax, Inc. in February, 2014, thus becoming only the 16th public company in Hawaii (OTC:BB, symbol CDXI). Dr. Lockwood has twenty years of industry and clinical experience. Before co-founding Cardax Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Lockwood served as Medical Director for the private company Hawaii Biotech, Inc. (2002-2006), and the public biotech company Aquasearch, Inc. (2000-2002; now Mera Pharmaceuticals, Inc.).

Joshua Pearce

Joshua Pearce is the Richard Witte Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and a Professor cross-appointed in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Michigan Technological University where he runs the Open Sustainability Technology Research Group. His research concentrates on the use of open source appropriate technology to find collaborative solutions to problems in sustainability and poverty reduction.
